OVCSA, OSA join hands with students, UPMO for Bayanihan #LinisinAngSU Clean-Up Drive
17 April 2024 | Carmel J. Cayaon, Angel Junice P. Lumba |
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA), Office of Student Activities (OSA), University Planning and Maintenance Office (UPMO), UPLB students, organizations, and alliances joined forces for Bayanihan #LinisinAngSU Clean-Up Drive at the Student Union (SU) Building premises on March 16, 2024.
As part of the proposed renovation and rehabilitation of the SU Building, the activity ensured the creation of a student-centered space that will be a safe haven for all UPLB students.
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Janette H. Malata-Silva and Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and OSA Director Marcelina C. Miranda led the initiative with their brushes and brooms to help clean up the building and its surrounding areas.
UPLB students, other OVCSA Staff, and UPMO representatives also participated in the activity catering to a student convergence space within the university.
The #LinisinAngSU Clean-Up Drive is an initiative organized by OVCSA and OSA. It is one of the many steps towards transforming the SU Building’s Creekside as the university’s premiere student convergence area.
Non-affiliated students gathered with representatives from UPLB Babaylan, Beta Sigma Fraternity, UP Engineering Students’ Guild, Epsilon Chi Fraternity, Umalohokan, Inc., Sigma Rho Fraternity, and Upsilon Sigma Phi as participants of the activity.
