UP Beta Kappa Fraternity was founded on August 23, 1970 by Manuel S. Alejar, Efren Beguico, Virgilio Cabezon, Vivencio Sarmiento, Wilfredo San Juan, Roland Luis, Fred Alonso, and Renato Venturina. UP Beta Kappa is a collegiate fraternity, oriented in service and leadership, dedicated to unity to attain its aspirations, committed in pursuing its ideals, prepared to assert its beliefs and unhesitant in upholding honors and dignity.

As of First Semester, AY 2024-2025, this student organization has 7 members. Students may apply to join the student organization.

Like other organizations in the university, there is a process for membership to UP BK. All registered student organizations have pledged their compliance to the Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law.
