THE UPLB GENETICS SOCIETY

Academic Organization, clustered under Leadership, established in 1983.

The UPLB Genetics Society is an academic organization which aims to promote and create awareness about the science of Genetics in the Philippines. It was established by 23 UPLB students way back in 1983. For more than 42 years of existence, GeneSoc has accomplished several prestigious achievements not only in UPLB but in the whole country. At present time, GeneSoc members continue the legacy with students from CAS, CAFS, and CHE.

Membership
As of First Semester, AY 2026-2027, this student organization has 47 members. Since GENESOC is a college-based student organization, only students from CAS may apply to join the organization.

Like other organizations in the university, there is a process for membership to GENESOC. All registered student organizations have pledged their compliance to the Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law.
