PHILOBIOSCIENTIA, THE UPLB LIFE SCIENCES SOCIETY
Academic Organization, clustered under Biological Sciences, established in 1984.
Philobioscientia, The UPLB Life Sciences Society, commonly known as PHILEOS, is a constituted academic organization in the University of the Philippines Los Baños under the Institute of Biological Sciences (IBS). For years on end, PHILEOS is geared towards the continuous pursuit of academic excellence and public service, all while uniting BS Biology (BS BIO) and BS Mathematics and Science Teaching (BS MST) students. In PHILEOS, we are lovers of life and knowledge. In PHILEOS, we become prime movers for collecting, disseminating, and updating basic knowledge in the field of biological sciences and transformative pedagogy. In PHILEOS, we are committed to honing the youth to become pillars of development and progress.

Membership
As of Second Semester, AY 2023-2024, this student organization has 112 members. Since PHILEOS is a college-based student organization, only students from CAS may apply to join the organization.
Like other organizations in the university, there is a process for membership to PHILEOS. All registered student organizations have pledged their compliance to the Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law.
