UPLB College Youth Club
Socio-Civic Organization, clustered under Socio-Civic, established in 1973.
"College-Y" is an organization program of university students enrolled in any college, designed to meet the needs and interests of the members and at the same time offers opportunities for informal group education and experience in congenial social settings. The great advancement of science and technology today provides positive results, it is also constantly eroding the culture and spiritual values of youths as well as society. In this rapid change and transition period comes the greatest challenge to people and society. The person is the only element that could preserve a life complete in the essence of its faculties spirit, mind and body and the only instrument to prove the significance of this great challenge is putting our minds together for a new thinking, greater insight, and understanding of life, the Christian life. College-Y aims for this, it seeks to create an atmosphere of fellowship among young people and offers opportunity to grow in a Christian democratic world setting. College-Y provides a favorable chance for members to understand themselves better in their relationships with constantly shifting social values and environments. Members are helped individually to develop well-rounded personalities, conceptualize new ideas, and learn new skills which will help them use their leisure more profitably.
