Academic Organization, clustered under Public Service, established in 1990.

The UPLB Society of Pre-Med Students (SPS), founded on August 15, 1990, is an academic-civic organization comprised of students from various degree programs at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Since its establishment, the UPLB SPS has been steadfast in extending meaningful service to the university, the community, and the country, while driven by its motto: “Service Through Knowledge”. The organization leads academic initiatives like MediSCENE, which fosters knowledge and awareness of the medical scene, as well as civic efforts like medical missions that highlight service of the underserved.

As of Second Semester, AY 2025-2026, this student organization has 100 members. Since SPS is a college-based student organization, only students from CAS may apply to join the organization.

Like other organizations in the university, there is a process for membership to SPS. All registered student organizations have pledged their compliance to the Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law.
