The International Student Services (ISS) held the 2nd Investiture and Commissioning Rites of UPLB Ambassadors for Filipino Goodwill on April 24, 2014 at the Makiling Hall, Student Union Building, in support of the university's goal to promote internationalization.

UPLB recognized 15 international students as UPLB Ambassadors in 2014. The ambassadors are volunteer international students from the graduating class of 2014.

The UPLB ambassadors play a big role in promoting the university and making sure that the relationship between UPLB and their respective universities remain intact.

"In behalf of the UPLB Ambassadors, we promise to honor our career; we will try our best to pursue excellence and to speak out the ideals of UPLB wherever we go and wherever we are," said Hoang Ha Anh, commissioned UPLB Ambassador of Vietnam.

The investiture ceremony was led by Dr. Rex Victor O. Cruz, UPLB Chancellor; assisted by Dr. Oscar B. Zamora, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Dr. Leticia E. Afuang, OSA Director and; Dr. Erick Vernon Dy, ISS Head. Dr. Cruz also led the commissioning rites and delivered an inspirational message.

UPLB commissioned and invested 31 international students as UPLB Ambassadors.
