Academic Organization, clustered under Biological Sciences, established in 1990.

The UP Cell Biological Society or UP Cells is a duly recognized academic organization based at the Institute of Biological Sciences, University of the Philippines at Los Baños. Living out its objectives and goals in making erudite and intellectual young citizens, the organization has been involved in several academic and civic activities which develop its members and other participants’ academic and social capabilities and skills. Additionally, it is the first and only organization from UPLB that is affiliated to the Biology Majors’ Alliance of the Philippines (BMAP) - a national association uniting more than 4,000 Filipino biology majors from 19 member organizations.

As of Midyear Term 2017, this student organization has 58 members. Since UP CELLS is a college-based student organization, only non-freshman students from CAS may apply to join the organization.

Like other fraternities in the university, there is a process for membership to UP CELLS. All recognized student organizations have pledged their compliance to the Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law.
